2024 Schedule Update

• U15+ (previously Bantam Open) (2010 and earlier) Monday/Wednesday $205 
• Season starts May 6/24 until August 7/24

The U15+ division is a co-ed division for players born in 2010 and earlier.

RULES

Softball Ontario/Softball Canada rules apply; however, BMSA local rules will supersede this when applicable. All Umpire rulings are final. No protests will be accepted.

Local BMSA Rules 

NO JEWELLERY. Jewellery cannot be worn during play, with the exception of medic alert bracelets.

Uniform change for the 2024 season - Shorts are NOT allowed to be worn for games or practices for any player in U9 and above. Team Jersey must be worn at all times for games.

All Batters/Baserunners/On deck Batters MUST wear a helmet with a faceguard and a fastened chin strap.

Pitching update: Only players who have been identified as pitchers and/or have taken part in a pitching clinic will be allowed to pitch. We want to encourage those interested in pitching and assist in developing their skill.

All pitchers must wear a face mask. In lieu of a face mask, the pitcher may wear their batting helmet. 

Games are to begin at 6:30. Teams may play with 8 players without penalty. The game will continue if 7 players are present, but the 8th batting position is an automatic out. No new inning will begin after 8:10pm.

5 runs maximum per inning
 

Drop 3rd strike is in play.

Open Inning: 6th and 7th innings are open inning

Run Ahead Rule (Mercy Rule): The game is complete if a team leads by 15 or more runs after 5 innings.

All players on the roster will bat in the lineup.

Base distance: 60 feet
